My highlights were beach walking at low tide so we could hike on the flat rock, chez Monique's,(a feeling of Mexico), friends to go with, meeting other good fellow hikers, sea lions.

This is an absolutely amazing trail. 75km of remote wilderness and stunning coastline. I can highly recommend it and would hike the trail any time again. Make sure to plan ahead: Permits sell fast and you should plan at least 6 month in advance. Also make sure to bring everything you need to the trailhead, there are not a lot of options to stock up on either side. I'd recommend to hike south to north because it gets easier over time and you are done with the most challenging sections of the trail at the beginning.

Unfortunately when I went here it rained for 6/7 days. Can't really control that. Regardless, I had a great time. The crab shack was soo good. Really amazing experience. You get to walk over huge logs, climb up waterfalls, escape the tide, scale cliffs. Adventure of a lifetime.

What an incredible trail. Such variety in terrain, scenery, and features, it was a spectacular journey. Definitely has some challenging and risky sections, which are more dangerous in the rain. I wouldn't recommend this trail to a novice given the length and lack of exit opportunities, though you do run into novices on the trail. This trail should be on everyone's backpacking bucket list.
